Team Edward or Team Jacob???

For all you Twilight fans. !! I can't wait for the new book. I don't even like to read that much. This series just reeled me in. I am trying to resist picking the book up on Saturday since it is Justin and my 5 year wedding anniversary. I don't think Justin would be thrilled if my nose was in a book all day. I did read the 5Th Harry Potter on our Honeymoon, but I reserved it for the beach only.
I am Team Edward. What are you?

Seattle

Last week we packed up the baby and went to Seattle for a friends wedding. It was so great. The weather was wonderful and the city is surprisingly kid friendly. Nice restaurants comparable to Market street had stroller parking and highchairs. Cole is still restaurant friendly so we were planning on keeping him on our laps but all the places had highchairs. Most of the nice restaurants in Utah don't even do that and Utah is the kid capitol.

Justin did commit petty theft on our trip. When we returned home I noticed he had packed the hotel hairdryer in my suitcase thinking it was mine. We were wondering why our suitcase was heavier coming home and they wanted to charge us 80$$!! for 1 extra lb over the 40 lb limit. (I am NOT a light packer).

We spent a good chunk of the week with our friends Holly and Taylor. She is due in a little over a week to have a baby boy. What a trooper. All the walking and hills, not one complaint. Cole loves both of them, so you might see in a few pic's he is looking to the side - this is because he was looking for his new bestfriends. We had brunch on top of the Space Needle. Fun, good food and a great revolving view of Seattle.

Outside the Seattle temple waiting for the bride and groom. (Cole is looking for Taylor)

This was the hotel crib. I think it looks like a baby prison, but Cole loved it and slept like a rock like usual. He would pull up and shake the bars making the entire crib move.

Cole on the plane. He looks like he is drunk. Once the engine started the sound lulled him to sleep. Did you know the airport has a family security lane? The regular line was as long as I have EVER seen it. Some nice airport lady ushered us up to the left to the family lane where we got through in less than 5 min. Who knew? Next time you are traveling with kiddo's ask.

The fam down at Pikes Place. Again, Cole looking for his favorite two people.

Cole with his new BFF Taylor. He is one of Justin's high school friends. It is the best pic of Cole on the whole trip.

Nothing says the 4th of July like........

75 bags of mulch. This was the first 4th of July in my life I didn't have days of activities planned. My dads birthday is on the 4th so we usually have a birthday week extravaganza. Stadium of Fire (or Stadium of Smoke as Justin and I call it) down in Provo, Oakley Rodeo and a Baseball game are our yearly activities. Fun but it makes for a long hot weekend.

I was excited to relax, hang out with Justin and the baby. Have some nice quality family time. I was a little sceptical when I told Justin I was going to jump in the shower and he told me to wait because he had a surprise. Justin came home with 75 surprises. The back yard is now complete and it really did make a huge difference. I was wishing the whole time that I was born one of those little tiny girls who people would never ask to do heavy yard work.

Sweet baby Cole just sat in the shade and laughed and was fascinated by the wheel barrel (black beauty, Justin named it that). Justin and I really lucked out in the kid department. He is such an easy baby.

The Surprise, that was only half of the bags :(

Laptop took a great fall.

So it has been a while since I posted. I have been without a computer for a while. A brilliant idea of placing the laptop on our kitchen counter/ledge and cleaning while talking on the phone to my friend Rachel went askew. Somehow (well not really somehow I am the clumsiest person on the planet) I tripped over the power cord sending my laptop to it's hardwood floor grave 4 feet below. Sorry again Rachel for the string of naughty words that flew out of my mouth :(.
Suprisingly it worked for a day but it was a bit slow. Then nothing just a black screen with weird computer code on it. This will be the test if Justin really reads our blog. I handed it to him and said it won't turn on, "can you fix it?" - leaving out the 4 foot ledge part - he didn't ask. 1 new hard drive later and a few hours with the IT man at Dealertrak (Justin's company) who got my pic's I hadn't backed up on the external hard drive, and I am back in business.
Moral of the story...don't put laptops on ledges, do backup all photo's/movies and lastly do have connections with an IT person if you didn't learn the moral from my story.
